Urgent needs & crisis focus

Northern Iraq

Northern Iraq

On June 11, a militant group overtook the city of Mosul in northern Iraq, displacing about 500,000 people. One of MCC's partners is now providing food and water to 200 families as MCC assesses the need and plans for further assistance.

Your donation will help MCC respond to this crisis and other ongoing work in Iraq.

Syria emergency response

Syria emergency response

Since the crisis began, more than 9.5 million people have been displaced. As the situation grows worse, MCC continues to request donations to address the increasing needs.

Through our partners, MCC is responding to the basic needs of refugees and displaced people by distributing food, blankets and kits, and supporting peacebuilding and education in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon.

South Sudan relief

South Sudan relief

An estimated 4.9 million people need assistance because of the ongoing crisis in South Sudan. More than 800,000 people have been displaced, and another 250,000 have left South Sudan for neighboring countries.

MCC's response includes food for displaced people as well as training in trauma healing. We will also be sending relief kits, hygiene kits and blankets.

Relief and hygiene kits

Relief and hygiene kits

MCC urgently needs 4,000 relief kits and 10,000 hygiene kits. Relief kits provide valuable supplies to families whose lives have been disrupted by war or disaster. Hygiene kits give people the supplies they need to stay healthy.

In times of need, these kits provide basic necessities like towels, bar soap, toothbrushes and nail clippers, while also reminding people their needs are not forgotten.
