With some assistance from MCC, the Syrian Orthodox church continues to care for orphans who had to be evacuated from an orphanage in Homs, Syria, because of shelling.
In the midst of ongoing violence in Syria, the Syrian Orthodox Church is reaching out to people from the city of Homs who lost homes, livelihoods and family members even as its own ministries have been affected.
These boys are among 70,000 to 80,000 Syrians living in the Zaatari Camp in Jordan. Thank you for helping MCC provide 2,750 pairs of shoes and winter footwear to children living in this camp. To meet the growing needs of the prolonged Syrian conflict, MCC is appealing for additional funds to support more people for a longer period of time in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. Your prayers and donations make a difference. (ACT Alliance photo/Paul Jeffrey)
