A two-week cross-cultural program, designed to train, equip and encourage 10 international and 10 local young adults to be peace promoters in their home communities. Together they learn about breaking down barriers and creatively talking across boundaries to work toward a more peaceful world.

Participants will gain practical peace training from skilled peace builders. They will share strategies from around the world and gain resources from guest presenters. Participants will be exposed to peace issues and initiatives in Alberta through field trips across Alberta.

Get involved: The next Planting Peace is set to run in May 2017 (TBC). Registration is now open for International Participants MCC Opportunities.

Location: Based in Calgary, AB with field trips across Alberta.

Canadian Participant Cost: $400 Covers accommodation, food & transportation throughout the program. If money is a barrier, please consider submitting a subsidy form. (Form will be made available January 2017 with program application).
