You are invited to join us for the MCC BC Annual General Meeting on October 16 from 9 to 1 pm via Zoom.
Our keynote speaker is Andy Harrington who will share about MCC’s work with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank to address hunger and food production in Africa.
We will also be joined by several Indigenous speakers to learn more about our history with Indigenous people and efforts toward reconciliation.
It is also a time of accountability to our members. In addition to hearing reports and stories of hope, we will also review financial statements, elect Board Members, and review other standard business items.
Who is a member or a delegate?
If you have attended an AGM in the past as a delegate from your church, you are a voting member of MCC BC on an ongoing basis.
If your church has appointed you as a delegate this year, you automatically become a voting member of MCC BC on an ongoing basis.
We have sent an official notice by email to all voting members of MCC BC and if you got that email you are a voting member.
If you have any questions about being a member or delegate, please call and ask for Alexa at 604-850-6639.
Each congregation that is part of a Mennonite denomination recognized by MCC BC is a member and is able to send the pastor as a voting delegate.
Each year a member congregation can send 1 new voting delegate for each 25 church members.
We request that churches notify MCC BC of any delegates that you are sending and have them complete the online registration form above.
You are also welcome to attend as a guest if you are not a member or a delegate.
We will follow up with an email confirming your attendance as a delegate or guest after you complete registration.
