This part time (0.8fte) contract position seeks to provide space for friendships to emerge and grow between volunteers, and women and men who are transitioning from persistent homelessness to stable housing. The Circle of Friends Program Associate is responsible for getting the program up and running, including recruiting volunteers, building partnerships with Abbotsford shelter providers and facilitating Circles of friendship with women, men and families in the transition from an experience of persistent homelessness. This position requires living out your faith and positively advancing the mission of MCC as one engages with clients, community partners, churches, and volunteers.
This is a short-term part-time paid position and is dependent on funding. This position reports to MCC BC Program Director. There is a possibility of position being extended for two years if funding is secured. Only persons eligible to work in Canada should apply.
