This salaried full-time position (37.5 hours per week) provides leadership to Circle of Friends (CoF), a program that creates space for friendships to develop with women and men who are transitioning from situations of homelessness into stable housing and other community members. Circle of Friends is a program of Mennonite Central Committee Ontario (MCCO).
The Circle of Friends Program Manager provides leadership to deliver the CoF Program. The person filling this position leads the CoFs team in recruiting, coordinating and supporting groups of volunteers who are committed to supporting and encouraging women and men in the transition from shelter living to sustainable, independent living. This Program is a partnership with YW K-W and other member agencies of the Waterloo Region Housing Stability System.
Creating Community Connectedness with Women and Men in Transition
• Facilitate and support the voluntary involvement of women and men to participate in Circle of Friends
• In consultation with Circle of Friends Program Associates, participants and volunteers, assess the needs, strengths and barriers confronting Circle of Friends participants.
