This part time (30hrs/week) position assists the daily operation of merchandising and customer service, receives and processes donated goods, including loading and unloading of goods, pricing, and organization of work areas; Assists with creative merchandising, designing attractive displays & marketing promotional events; Assists with stock rotation and inventory management; Assists in providing household goods to persons in emergency need situations. Position will provide opportunity to be trained on cash desk operation and answering the phone. In cooperation with the management team, develop a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach with homeless & street-involved persons from our local community who frequent the shop.
Working Days are Tues/Wed/Thurs/Saturday. Anticipated start date: June 1st (flexible). Length of Term: up to 14 weeks.
This position is subject to government funding under the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
