MCC was founded in 1920 as the international relief and development agency of Mennonite churches in North America. We strive for peace, justice and dignity of all people by sharing our experiences, resources and faith. We seek to demonstrate God’s love by serving among people suffering from poverty, conflict and natural disasters. In British Columbia we assist the MCC international relief and development efforts by sending financial and material aid, and we also have several local programs in BC that assist people in need here at home.
This position is 30 hrs/week for up to a possible 16 weeks, depending on government funding under the the Canada Summer Jobs program. All participants need to be 15 to 30 years old, and be Canadian citizens/Canadian permanent residents or hold Canadian refugee protection status in country. This role is based in the MCC BC head office in Abbotsford, BC. Office Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
The Donor Engagement Assistant will work in collaboration with the Associate Advancement Director to engage with MCC’s constituency including donors, churches and local businesses.
