The End Abuse Program Associate works closely with the End Abuse Program Coordinator to deliver MCC BC’s End Abuse Program, providing support, education and referral services to survivors of abuse, as well as pastors and congregations. The worker in this position is responsible for intake of women and facilitation of the faith-based groups, raising public awareness and education, advocacy, referrals, collaborative program planning, and assisting with promoting program services.
This is a 0.5 FTE position that is primarily based in Abbotsford. There may be limited travel to cities within the Fraser Valley. The days and hours of work will be determined in consultation with the Coordinator and in response to the needs of the program. This position is accountable to the Program Coordinator for program direction, monitoring and reporting. The individual works collaboratively with the End Abuse Advisory Committee. The End Abuse Program Associate is expected to maintain collaborative working relationships with MCC Program staff within BC.
