The MCCS Thrift Shop movement was started over 40 years ago. MCCS Thrift Shops seek to be a friendly, caring presence in the community, showing value and respect to all. Practicing and promoting faithful stewardship and care for God’s creation and raising funds for MCC are also key components to the mission statement of the Thrift Shops.
The Furniture Shop Assistant and the Manager work together as a team, accountable to the Swift Current Board. This position requires a self-starter who is able to make decisions while being flexible and adaptable. Must be able to work with a team of volunteers.
The Furniture Shop Assistant accepts donations received at the Furniture Shop along with ensuring a smooth and efficient processing system in the receiving area.
This position is a part time position (0.8 FTE or 32 hours/week), with the schedule being worked out with the Manager. Ability to work on some Saturdays is required.
Legal eligibility to work in Canada is required.
