MCC Saskatchewan has been present in the community of Meadowgreen for 14 years operating programming in that provides children and youth aged 7-16 with a safe environment in which to learn & grow outside of school. Programs provide learning opportunities to break down stereotypes by building friendships and learning to communicate in a multi-cultural and multi-faith context. This requires sensitivity to cultural diversity and an openness to interfaith dialogue.
The Associate will work to build capacity within the children and youth of Meadowgreen by finding opportunities for participants to build skills, to gain confidence in themselves and one another. The Associate will work to maintain an awareness of equity issues, especially around racism and interfaith dialogue. This work is accomplished in partnership with the local church from which the Kids & Youth Clubs are operated.
Supervised by the MCCS Community Development Coordinator, the Meadowgreen Programs Associate is a part-time role at 12 hours per week.
Only those applicants legally eligible to work in Canada should apply.
