The Kelowna Thrift Shop is actively engaged in receiving and selling used clothing, small appliances, housewares, books, toys, some furniture and collectibles with all proceeds designated to support the relief and development work of Mennonite Central Committee.  

This position provides support to the shop with donation processing, retail operations, customer service and merchandising. The position provides practical, and hands-on experience that would be an asset to anyone working towards a diploma in a business-related course of study, someone considering a career in social services, or a student studying not-for-profit management.

This is a full-time position (40 hours a week) for up to a possible 16 weeks, requiring flexibility to work on Saturdays.  This position is subject to government funding under the Canada Summer Jobs Program.  As this is a Canada Summer Job position, only Canadian citizens or permanent residents between the ages of 15-30 and enrolled in full-time studies during the Spring 2018 semester & enrolled for full time studies for the Fall 2018 semester will be considered.  MCC values diversity and invites all qualified candidates to apply.
