This hourly part-time position will work with the TOOLS (Toronto Ontario Opportunities for Learning and Service) Coordinator to provide opportunities for learning on faith, poverty and marginalization through short-term service and exposure experiences for groups coming to Toronto.
The Team Host will provide leadership to the Toronto-based TOOLS program. TOOLS is a program which offers an urban immersion experience to groups. Participants are provided with opportunities for learning through short-term (weekend to one week) service and exposure experiences. Emphasis is on beginning to understand the circumstances of poverty and marginalization and reflecting on the call to Christian service and discipleship. Part of the assignment would be moving people beyond tourism to see through the eyes of those struggling in the city.
