Circles of Care volunteers build connections and form a community of support and information with seniors who are isolated and are survivors of elder abuse.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Attitude Requirements:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in regular circle meetings with senior and rest of circle
  • Connect with person on a regular basis either through phone calls, visits, practical assistance or activities
  • Keep record of meeting time and significant conversation
  • Participate in Circles of Care training orientation

Time Commitment

  • 2 to 3 hours every week or every second week
  • 1 year

Training and Development offered 

  • Position specific orientation will be provided
  • Job shadowing and training meetings offered as available
  • Other training and skills development
  • Policy and procedure manual available at all times

Other:

  • Volunteer liability coverage for all volunteers
