Circle of Friends is a new pilot program of MCC British Columbia, modeled after MCC Ontario's program, in which groups of 2-3 volunteers form a "circle of friends" around an individual transitioning from homelessness or shelter living back into the community.

When newcomers arrive in Canada, the experience can be overwhelming. They must learn how to navigate everyday life in an unfamiliar country, with a different culture, different systems, and different customs. Finding their financial footing can be a challenge.

Do you love to quilt? Do you have a creative eye for colour combinations and designing patterns? Come share your love of quilting with MCC by helping to create beautiful quilts to be sold at our annual festival.

There are many opportunities to assist with the day-to-day operations at Mennonite Central Committee Ontario's head office. From providing painting support to helping with regular building maintenance, volunteers are needed every day.

Material Resources volunteers are the front line of our relief work around the world.  Positions cover areas including receiving, packing and shipping material aid as well as sewing, fabric cutting and teaching skills to create beautiful blankets that are sent to people in crisis.

MCC Ontario owns and operates seven not-for-profit thrift shops in this province. Proceeds from these endeavours support local and global relief, development and peace projects of Mennonite Central Committee. Volunteers form the core workforce of the MCC Ontario Thrift Network and many positions are available. Be part of the MCC Thrift Network where every volunteer hour becomes a gift to the world!

Volunteers with the People in Poverty program interested in developing relationships may join with a small group of 2-3 volunteers to form a "Circle of Friends" for an individual as they transition from homelessness and shelter living back into the Waterloo Region community. For the more hands-on volunteer, there is room in the kitchen of The Raw Carrot to work alongside our participants

MCC Ontario

MCC Canada's Indigenous Neighbours program strives to build respectful relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Volunteers assist in facilitating opportunities for MCC constituents through the Blanket Exercise and by supporting Indigenous Artisans through the Niska Pop-up Market. In response to COVID-19, our Blanket Exercises are on hold, but we are happy to announce that our Niska program is once again looking for volunteers to help facilitate sales at events as health regulations permit.

Connect your local congregation to MCC as a volunteer Congregational Representative. Or help MCC to share our gratitude to all who contribute to the work of peace and justice through MCC as a Donor Services Volunteer.

Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) is an MCC restorative justice project that works to help reduce the risk of re-offence by assisting and supporting persons with a history of sexual offences re-integrate back into the community and lead safe, responsible, and accountable lives.

MCC Manitoba

Do you have free time and a desire to help? MCC's Material Resources Centre in Winnipeg needs regular volunteers to bale comforters for distribution to families in need all around the world. 

The International Volunteer Exchange Program (IVEP) is a year-long volunteer work and cultural exchange opportunity for young, Christian adults. Every year 60 IVEP participants come from more than 25 countries around the world to volunteer in the U.S.

Your help is needed!  MCC Thrift shops are always looking for new volunteers to join the team. Whether it's sorting, pricing or working at the cash register volunteers are needed to make a difference in the community and around the world.

Internships in the MCC United Nations office provide recent college graduates with the opportunity to develop their professional skills in the context of international UN affairs and through the lens of MCC’s Anabaptist values.

MCC Saskatchewan Meadowgreen Den Program

MCC's Meadowgreen Den program delivers safe after school programming three to  four times a week for close to 50 Newcomer, Indigenous and Settler children and youth (ages 3-15).  We are looking for volunteers to help us run the following summer activities:

Annual relief sales in different regions raise funds for MCC’s work around the world. With quilt and crafts auctions, food and children’s activities, sales provide a concrete way for church members to learn about and support MCC's work.

Seed is a two-year program that brings together young adults ages 20-30 from around the world to reflect, serve and work for peace.

The Seek program will help you discover the beauty and brokenness of the world, while living in community and ministering to others. This six-month discipleship program will help you learn more deeply what it means to be an Anabaptist follower of Jesus.

Serving and Learning Together (SALT) is a year-long, cross-cultural service experience. 

SOOP is a short-term program that provides service opportunities for adults and families across Canada and the U.S.

The Summerbridge program is an 8–12 week summer opportunity for young adults of diverse cultural backgrounds. Summerbridge participants are paid to serve in their home congregations and communities, taking on important projects and experiencing the fulfillment of Christian service.

Throughout the network of 108 shops in Canada and the United States, thousands of volunteers, as well as paid managers, help with the day-to-day operations of MCC thrift shops.

MCC's Mobile Meat Canner travels across the United States and Canada meeting volunteers who prepare cans of turkey, beef, chicken and pork to be sent around the world.
