Growing Hope Farm

Growing Hope Farm in urban Cambridge is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit initiative that produces fresh fruit, eggs and meat and gives job training for at-risk youth. They need help feeding goats, putting up fences, selling produce at market, making connections in the community and everything in between. All proceeds are donated to MCC.

Volunteers assist in facilitating opportunities for MCC constituents through the Blanket Exercise and by supporting Indigenous Artisans through the Niska Pop-up Market.

Planting Peace

Planting Peace Gathering 2019 brings together a diverse group of young adults (ages 18-30) to spend a week learning about peacebuilding.   Planting Peace participants have the opportunity to:

Seed is a two-year program that brings together young adults ages 20-30 from around the world to reflect, serve and work for peace.

Summerbridge

The Summerbridge program is an 8–12 week summer opportunity for young adults of diverse cultural backgrounds. Summerbridge participants are paid to serve in their home congregations and communities, taking on important projects and experiencing the fulfillment of Christian service.

Thrift Shops

Throughout the network of 108 shops in Canada and the United States, thousands of volunteers, as well as paid managers, help with the day-to-day operations of MCC thrift shops.
