When newcomers arrive in Canada, the experience can be overwhelming. They must learn how to navigate everyday life in an unfamiliar country, with a different culture, different systems, and different customs. Finding their financial footing can be a challenge.

There are many opportunities to assist with the day-to-day operations at Mennonite Central Committee Ontario's head office. From providing painting support to helping with regular building maintenance, volunteers are needed every day.

MCC Canada's Indigenous Neighbours program strives to build respectful relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Volunteers assist in facilitating opportunities for MCC constituents through the Blanket Exercise and by supporting Indigenous Artisans through the Niska Pop-up Market. In response to COVID-19, our Blanket Exercises are on hold, but we are happy to announce that our Niska program is once again looking for volunteers to help facilitate sales at events as health regulations permit.

Connect your local congregation to MCC as a volunteer Congregational Representative. Or help MCC to share our gratitude to all who contribute to the work of peace and justice through MCC as a Donor Services Volunteer.

Throughout the network of 108 shops in Canada and the United States, thousands of volunteers, as well as paid managers, help with the day-to-day operations of MCC thrift shops.
