Uprooted is a 3 week learning tour to the northern and southern borders of Mexico for young adults (ages 18-25-ish). This learning tour is coordinated by MCC Alberta & Saskatchewan and hosted by MCC Mexico & West Coast.

Uprooted participants have the opportunity to:
- Travel intentionally with 8-10 young adults
- Explore themes of migration and peacebuilding with MCC and MCC partners
- Discover the impact of political decisions and grassroots initiatives
- Challenge understanding through new perspectives and faith formation
- Earn university course credit 


Uprooted 2017 is scheduled for May 1-25, 2017. Apply online or email the fillable PDF application to either Thomas or Myriam. Application deadline is March 3, 2017.


Uprooted is available for course credit through CMU! "Migration, Displacement, and Refugees in Mexico & Central America"  will be offered in Spring/Summer 2017 (See syllabus). Contact MCC to find out more.


$2,900 (Includes all cost: orientation in Calgary, international airfare, accommodations, in-country transportation and food. Fundraising is encouraged).

Receiving university credit for Uprooted requires extra costs:

$500 Accreditation, Instructor & Administrations Fee
