Warehouse Volunteers assist in the Material Resources warehouse.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Attitude Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 40 kg an asset
  • Ability to climb ladders an asset
  • Forklift license is an asset
  • Ability to organize essential
  • Good communication skills essential
  • Computer literacy is an asset

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Receiving donations and recording  them
  • Packing kits into boxes, and loading on pallets
  • Baling comforters
  • Preparing pallets for shipment
  • General maintenance of the building

Time Commitment:

  • ½ to 1 day per week
  • 4 – 6 month time commitment preferred
  • Available for high school community service hours

Training and Development offered

  • Position specific orientation will be provided
  • Job shadowing and training meetings offered as available

Other training and skills development

  • Policy and procedure manual available at all times

Other:

  • Volunteer liability coverage for all volunteers
