Take the sting out of winter’s chill by joining The Great Winter Warm-up.
By the end of 2023, our goal is to donate a grand total of 45,000 blankets to our global neighbors who are dealing with conflict and disaster.
Your participation in our Great Winter Warm-up this February will go a long way in helping us meet that goal. During the month of February 2021, 4,384 comforters were created by people like you and donated to families in countries including Syria, Ukraine and Jordan. Your time and creative talents are helping to share a tangible message of God’s love with those in need.

1. Create

It’s a great excuse to use up any fabric you’ve stored up. Or maybe you want to learn a new skill. We have plenty of tips to help you along the way. You can make a comforter on your own or create a group to do this fun activity. Looking for some comforter design inspiration? Sign-up below to receive a digital booklet featuring comforters made across Canada and the U.S. Once you’re finished, you can drop off your completed comforter at an MCC kit drop-off location nearest you.

2. Sponsor

Don’t have the time or space to make a comforter? Sponsor the materials for one instead. When you donate toward the cost of making a comforter, you can also send a valentine to a loved one, letting them know you made a donation in their name. Both digital and printable valentines are available.

3. Share

Are you an avid comforter maker? We’d love to see a flurry of comforters on social media. Post a photo or video of any comforter you’ve made, whether it’s from this month or a while ago. Make sure to tag @MCCpeace so we can share your wonderful and warm creations to inspire others.
