This project assesses every three years the extent of homelessness, status of housing affordability, and the extent of social housing provisioning in the six communities that make up the eastern Fraser Valley. The purpose of this research-based poverty advocacy work is to continue to advocate for improved facilities and services for people who live homeless, including those who live homeless with mental health issues or concurrent disorders, in order to provide tangible and sustainable housing care to homeless people. MCC’s involvement in this work enhances the witness and ministry of the church.
