Our peace program provides a window through which youth, young adults, and all Albertans can engage in thinking, talking and living peacemaking. This is done through a various programs and learning opportunities.

Planting Peace: A two-week cross-cultural program, designed to train, equip and encourage 10 international and 10 local young adults to be peace promoters in their home communities. 

Uprooted: A Learning & Action Tour for Alberta & Saskatchewan Young Adults. Approximately 8 Young Adults travel with MCC to the Northern & Southern borders of Mexico and explore themes of Migration & Peacebuilding. 

CASA: a local learning and service tour in Calgary that provides groups with a first hand look at poverty and homelessness.

Building Bridges: Building Bridges (North Edmonton Ministry - NEM) works at building cultural and faith-based bridges with people from around the world, sharing hospitality, outreach and service.

Annual Peace Bursary for Students: Two subsidies are offered to students studying at post-secondary institutions and seeking to build peace in their daily life and work. (Disbursed Annually in September)
