Dyck Family Handprints
Linda Dickinson

Jonathan, Hannah Grace and Joseph match their hands with their hand prints on a quilt their Sunday School Class donated to MCC a few years ago.

Lina Dyck and her three kids, Jonathan, Joseph and Hannah Grace came to volunteer at our Material Resource Centre in early October.  They live in Northern Alberta.  They asked to spend some time at MCC learning about what we do.  We spent the morning touring the office, working with school kit items and Jonathan even helped bale some blankets.

There is a blanket hanging on the wall outside my office.  It was made a couple of years ago by the Sunday School class at Hillside Christian Fellowship in Buffalo Head Prairie, AB.  It features hand prints and artwork painted onto individual squares.

As it turns out, Jonathan, Joseph and Hannah Grace’s hand prints are on this blanket. We laid the blanket out to compare hand sizes – apparently, these kids have grown!!

Many thanks to the Dyck family for their time and support of MCC!
