MCC Canada named one of top 10 international impact charities
Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Canada is proud to announce it has been named by Charity Intelligence as one of the top 10 international impact charities for 2021.
Charity Intelligence monitors and evaluates more than 760 Canadian charities of all sectors and has recognized MCC as one of the nation’s most impactful within our global community.
"There are many international charities doing critical work to support vulnerable people around the world so we’re grateful to be recognized in this way," says Rick Cober Bauman, executive director for MCC Canada. "Right now, we’re hearing urgent pleas from communities who face challenges due to conflict, climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic. And we know that compassionate Canadians want to make a difference through trusted charities like MCC. Many people are choosing to put their trust in MCC and to support their global neighbours through our work. We take seriously the responsibility of stewarding donor’s gifts.”
Working with more than 380 local partners in 47 countries, MCC has supported relief, development and peace for more than a century.
With the support of its donors, MCC has helped respond to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and has supported local partners in responding to emergencies like the Haiti earthquake. And it continues to support development work that creates lasting change for people in need around the world.
