MCC, through our local partners, is now distributing relief supplies to people in Nepal affected by the earthquake. We are distributing food, blankets, tarps, flashlights, water treatment supplies, soap and kitchen utensils.

Below are photos of some of the people receiving assistance.

Anita Lama, 71, stands in front of her damaged house in Lalitpur, Nepal. Lama’s family had two houses in their yard and now both are unlivable. They have been living under tarps since the earthquake occurred.

Before they received sleeping mats from MCC they were sleeping on a plastic sheet on the ground. They were only able to retrieve a small amount of their stored rice and other food from their kitchen. MCC also provided the family with three weeks of food (rice, lentils and oil).
