For the first time, the annual MCC UN student seminar reached a global audience of young adults from 12 countries and four continents. Meeting for five hours on September 30 and October 1 on the theme “Climate Change, Conflict, and Peacebuilding,” the 43 participants engaged with presenters from seven countries – grassroots practitioners, church leaders, diplomats, and NGO specialists. A few comments about what participants appreciated: “The opportunity to connect and share thoughts with friends from other countries”… “Real-world experience from leaders in the field”… “The Christian perspective of learning about climate change”… “Opened my eyes to the global impact of climate change.”
