Jackie Nickel, a local Manitoban farmer and teacher, shares her encounters with MCC partners and programs after her educational tour of Zimbabwe. Highlights from her tour include Grow Hope and education programs. Grant Dyck joins us to explain the significance of Grow Hope.
Grow Hope matches urban donors with rural farmers in order to grow crops that are sold and donated to improve food security around the world. The proceeds from that crop are donated to MCC and then matched up to four times through a partnership with the Government of Canada through Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Grow Hope is also on Facebook, click here to join the conversation.
