In 2007, founders of MCC's network of Thrift shops (from left) Linie Friesen, Selma Loewen, Susan Giesbrecht and Sara Stoesz, gathered at a celebration in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to recognize their contributions to MCC. In March of 1972, they opened the first MCC Thrift shop in Altona, Manitoba.

This month, we celebrate women who have impacted MCC Thrift shops across Manitoba. Listen in as Threads host Kyle Rudge speaks with Susan Giesbrecht, one of the founders of MCC Thrift and one of the winners of the Manitoba 150 Women Trailblazers award. Kyle is also joined by Shelly Burrows from the Brandon MCC Thrift Shop and Deb Fast from the MCC Furniture Thrift Shop.
